1201pn asus Latest Review
The Asus 1201PN looks very similar to the popular HD capable Asus Eee PC 1201N, but has been updated with the latest processor and “Next Generation Ion” (aka Ion 2) graphics card.
The Asus Eee PC 1201PN adds the letter “P” to it’s name, to symbolize the use of the new Intel Atom N450 1.66Ghz Pine Trail processor.
The Atom 330 has been swapped out for the new more energy efficient N450, along with the new Ion graphics.
The major disadvantage with the previous 1201N netbook was it’s battery life, as it couldn’t compete with the other netbooks on the market, because of it’s high power drain HD graphics.
The Asus 1201PN can easily playback 1080p HD videos and output them to an HDTV. 3DMark06 on the pre-sample returned a score of 2013. This is higher than the previous Ion 1201N model which scored 1583.
Asus’s latest Eee PC netbooks 1201PN has 1 GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. The 1201PN has a 12.1-inch LED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 pixels.
The Asus 1201PN has Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and 60cell with a battery.
